Eustace Glascock was accepted for admittance in the 1874-75 school year. Five years later, he became the first McDonogh student accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy. Glascock’s poem, \u201cThe McDonogh Uniform,\u201d first appeared in The Week<\/em> on October 28, 1915. He was invited to read the poem at the dedication of Memorial Court in 1947.
